Want to get back into exercise but don’t know where your weaknesses are or where to start? Your GP said you were good to go after your 6 week check but didn’t offer any specific advice as to what you could or should be doing? Not sure whether you have stomach muscle separation, or you’ve been diagnosed with it and aren’t sure how to fix it? Post natal assessments give you a clear idea where you need to repair and strengthen, with an exercise programme tailored to you.
Post natal assessments are a service for those who want to put their mind at ease that they’re doing exercises which are suitable for their post-natal body. You don’t want a series of sessions with a personal trainer but want to feel stronger before starting Mums & Babies fitness classes or regular fitness classes.
The post-natal assessment is ideal for those who are thinking of returning to exercise, or those who have been doing exercise but can’t seem to shift their ‘mummy tummy’. After answering some medical history questions, we spend an hour and a half during which we undertake a core assessment, postural analysis and tension releases and put together a repair and strengthening programme. In case you forget anything we discussed, you also receive a personalised set of stretches and exercises. After that, we have a 30 minute review 6 – 8 weeks after.
